Description: Supports preservation of American Indian language and culture. The center is a public museum located in Billings, Montana. The center displays Indian artifacts of the Yellowstone River region. The funding supports training of Tribal members of preservation-related disciplines, recording of Tribal traditions and history from Indian perspectives, and development of a distance learning capability that can be used in teaching Tribal members and public about native tribes.
