This file is in CSV (comma space delimited) format.
It can be imported into almost any database model or spreadsheet program.
It is provided for purposes of performing more robust analysis
than can be supported on this website.
The "Fields Definition" table gives the instructions on data entry
and definitions of the required data.
The total number of lines in the CSV file is greater than the total number
of earmarks due to the fact that some earmarks have multiple recipients.
Each recipient shows up as a separate row in the CSV file. The key thing
to look at in the CSV file is the earmark "short description"
and "earmark code," which in combination define a unique earmark.
When the entries in those two columns are the same for multiple rows, then
each row represents a different recipient within that earmark.
For some earmarks with multiple recipients, the amount has not yet been allocated
among the intended recipients. In these cases, the aggregate is listed
under one (usually the primary) recipient. The "amount" column for
other recipients is left blank, in order to maintain the total amount of
earmarked funds correctly.
