Description: The TCSP funds will be used to provide additional funding for the Lincoln Center redevelopment project. The total cost of the Lincoln Center redevelopment project is estimated at $67,892,244.00. Reconfiguration of the Concourse Garage - This project involves closing the vehicular entrances and exits that currently exist on the south side of 65th Street to the garage that create an unsafe condition for drivers and pedestrians alike. The new configuration will create a more welcoming environment for pedestrians, space for new performing arts facilities and visitor amenities, and better access to the 66th Street Subway and bus stops along Broadway, 65th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. This phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2009. North-South Connector - This portion of the project will create a new one-way north to south vehicular connector from the 64th Street entrance North tunnel) to the existing drop-off at 62nd Street (south tunnel). A new patron drop-off will be created. The patron waiting area in the Central concourse adjacent to the east/west connector tunnels to the Broadway subway entrance will be reconfigured. Addition of new escalators and stairs will create new vertical circulation. This phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2010. The 65th Street Transportation Improvement Project is intended to create a pedestrian-friendly environment on 65th Street; to enhance patron, visitor and community experience at a gateway to Lincoln Center, the world's largest performing arts complex. This phase of the project is also expected to be completed in 2010.
